No Scales, No Exams, No Recitals

Seniors Recreational Music Making - NO TALENT REQUIRED - Especially for Baby Boomers and OLDER!

Actually, anyone can thoroughly enjoy this and if the over 50 crowd will let you in, you're welcome to join.  If you think you have to have talent to play the piano or keyboard, think again.  Everyone needs music and anyone can learn to play - anyone!  And - this is F U N

The only pre-requisite for this seniors music program is the desire to play.

This is all about recreation that involves seniors music lessons.  Anyone can find success in this.  You participate at your own level of comfort and enjoyment.  We will not try to make you into a performer - This is about having a musical experience that enhances the quality of life.  In fact, you will probably lower your blood pressure because of this class.

We are not as concerned with the final product as much as the joy found in the process of making seniors music.

Classmates encourage and help one another as they make music together or with their mentor.  See a video on this here.

The mentors are primarily concerned with the quality of the  experience so you relax, accept, and enjoy each step in your musical journey.

This program provides a safe learning environment where the quality of the students' lives are enhanced greatly through music participation.

You will learn how to play the piano as well as experience all of the non-musical benefits there are from it -

including companionship, friendship,

fulfillment, excitement, improved

confidence, pleasure, relaxation, and even

better health.

There are NO recitals!  If you don't want to

perform - you never have to.  This stress-free

environment allows students to nurture and

encourage each other and their common love

of music.

Recreational Music Making is designed to

be fun and social.  It makes music

making accessible for anyone, and puts

as its first priority the needs and desires of

the student.

Join us - you'll be very glad you did!

Seniors Recreational Music Making

Class Requirements
Seniors Music Students must have a piano, digital piano, or a piano keyboard (with

a minimum of 61 full size piano keys that are touch sensitive) at home to practice

on.  (For the first month we will loan you a keyboard if you don't have one)

     PLEASE NOTE:
A piano keyboard is touch sensitive when the volume of sound increases when
the keys are depressed faster.   If you're not sure if it is touch sensitive, call
us at 519-858-2805.  The picture to the left shows a keyboard that is
probably touch sensitive.  Any smaller and it probably is not.

Class Times

Group classes are available mornings and afternoons starting at 10, 11, 12, 1, 2, and 3 pm.

Group and Private
These classes are available both as a private one-on-one class or in a group setting
of no more than 6 students.  We think it's much more fun in a group
