In-Home Lessons

Consider these advantages:

*  Students are accustomed to practicing on their own

instrument, so it makes sense for the lessons to take place on

the same instrument, yet you can't bring your piano in for a

    lesson.

* You save time traveling to and from a music teacher's studio

and not have to worry about traffic.

* You can be doing other things around your house instead of

waiting for your child to finish the music lesson.

*  If you have more than one child taking lessons, time saved is

    even better.

*  If taking piano, the teacher will know the problems the

student may be having with their piano.  Most students

can not tell if their piano is out of tune or not playing

    properly.

Consider these disadvantages:

*  In-home lessons cost more  - simply because the teacher is

now wasting time in between students and must also cover the

cost of travel.  (see Fees & Registration in the menu on the

    left)

*  Children may have more reasons to be disrupted during the

lesson due to siblings, television, or other distractions.

*  The atmosphere of a music school with all of its' students is a

    not available for home students..
