Academic Music School offers all of the classes you need and want. As well as providing private classes for almost any instrument from teachers that are university trained, we offer classes that you can not get anywhere else in Southwestern Ontario.
We offer a Pop Keyboard course for those who don't really want to take classical piano. This is a very fun and enjoyable class for learning how to really play an electronic keyboard or piano as well as how to use all the bells and whistles on keybaords.
And for those adults who never got the chance to play when they were kids, now is the time to get involved in our Seniors Music or Recreational Music Making. No talent required - just a desire to play. You can start this class with 4 FREE lessons.
Ever seen people that can just sit down and play - no music? Well, we also have a great teacher that can teach you this very learnable skill.
Since 2002 we have provided music lessons to 100's of students. At first we offered only piano lessons since we were affiliated with Plumb Pianos. In the last two years we decided to offer lessons on most instruments and voice and have expanded our teaching staff to 20. This has resulted in an expansion in our student numbers of well over 300% .

We can teach any musical style you are interested in including Classical, Pop, Broadway, Jazz, and much more.
We know that private one-on-one instruction with a well trained teacher provides students the best opportunity to progress at their own pace and receive the optimum learning experience. We also know that group lessons can help many students who are motivated better in a social environment.

Teacher Selection:
We carefully select our teachers based on their experience, personality, and music education. We are focused on matching the student with the right teacher so that the "chemistry" works. If we don't get the "chemistry" right at first, we will work with you until we get the "right" teacher for the student.
Age of Students:
Age is not a barrier. Our students have started at age 4 and others at 84.
Enrollment:
Students may enroll at any time during the year so they don't have to wait to get started. If you want to take a holiday part way through the year, we can stop and start again according to your schedule.
You are not committed to any lessons beyond the first two months.
Cost of Lessons:
Lessons are areasonably priced and compare well with other local music schools. Please see fees and registration.

We are available Monday to Friday from 10:30 am to 8 pm during the school year to answer your calls, questions, and to assist. We take an interest in every facet of your experience with us and are here to help and to guide our students to success. We want our students to thoroughly enjoy their musical learning experience so that they will enjoy playing all of their life.
